The engine power is evenly distributed to the side gears on both sides through the transmission shaft, the main reducer meshing gear pair, the differential case, and the planetary gears. At this time, the planetary gears are equivalent to equal arms extending from their axis to both sides. The lever and the planetary wheel do not rotate, they only revolve with the differential housing. The torque is evenly distributed to the left and right half shafts, and the left and right half shafts rotate at the same speed. The differential does not have a differential effect.

 

  When turning, the planetary wheel both rotates and revolves with the differential housing. When the vehicle turns, the inner wheel has a tendency to slip and the resistance is greater, while the outer wheel has a tendency to slip, and the resistance is lower. At this time, the meshing surface of the planetary wheel and the inner wheel’s half shaft gear is larger than that of the outer wheel. The meshing surface of the gear receives a large force, the planetary gear must rotate around its axis in the direction of greater force, and the half-shaft gear of the outer wheel is accelerated to rotate (the speed of the outer wheel is equal to the revolution plus the rotation, and the speed of the inner wheel is equal to the revolution minus the rotation).
