When it is lower than -10℃, you should choose a higher grade diesel to avoid poor engine oil supply due to low temperature, which will prevent the machine from starting and running normally. At the same time, the engine oil should be replaced with special winter oil according to equipment requirements to reduce starting resistance and ensure lubrication. Due to the low temperature in winter, the viscosity of hydraulic oil increases, and the negative pressure of hydraulic pump suction increases, resulting in insufficient oil supply and affecting the accuracy and sensitivity of the actuators. Therefore, the specified type of hydraulic oil should also be selected.

2.Do a good job of preheating mechanical equipment

For the engine, when the engine starts at low temperature due to the high viscosity of the oil, the lubricating oil will be insufficient for a short period of time and cannot spread all over the lubrication points. At this time, if the engine is running at high speed, it will cause crankshaft, camshaft, rocker shaft gearbox, etc. The planetary gear sun gear wears more severely, which can cause serious accidents such as cylinder pulling and tile burning. Therefore, the engine should be idling for a period of time after starting, and the load will be applied after the water temperature rises. The same is true for hydraulic system preheating. The temperature is too low and the hydraulic oil viscosity is high, which makes it difficult to suck oil, and the pump oil is insufficient, which affects the strength and sensitivity of the actuator. If the load is applied at this time, the copper hinge of the plunger pump may be damaged due to too much negative pressure, which may cause a major accident. At the same time, because the lubrication of hydraulic parts also depends on hydraulic oil, insufficient pump oil and poor lubrication will greatly affect the life of pumps and motors. Therefore, after starting the engine, the hydraulic components should be operated several times without load, and all the actuators should be operated several times to ensure that the hydraulic oil passes through each hydraulic component to avoid construction accidents caused by the jam of the control valve.

3.Strengthen equipment inspection and maintenance

As the temperature drops, the seals of equipment cylinders, hydraulic pipe joints, etc. will crack and shrink, resulting in loose sealing and leaks. The transmission connectors and bolts will also be affected by low temperature and reduce their strength and rigidity, such as water leakage from the water seal cover on the engine side. Drive shaft screws are loose, pin connections fall off, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen inspections, find problems in time, eliminate small hidden dangers, and avoid causing major failures. At the same time, maintenance should be strengthened. Grease has poor fluidity at low temperatures and grease should be replenished in time. For water-cooled engines, it is necessary to replace the antifreeze in time to avoid accidents of freezing and cracking the body and cooler. Strict inspections are required every day before and after work is completed to avoid man-made accidents, ensure the normal operation of equipment, and ensure the normal progress of winter construction.
